A Love of Writing

For those of you who know me and read this, you know quite well that I enjoy reading and even more-so writing poetry. My greatest strength in my poetry is found within my weakness before God. This meaning that anything that I find great within my writings is only due to the fact that I find myself weak before the Almighty. Meaning I can only credit my works to God, for excellence can never be found in weakness lest it be before the throne of God. And even then that weakness is brought about by eyes that are made to see that weakness.

Here is a recent something that I whipped up tonight because something came to my mind, and I had to write it down before it left. Enjoy!

And so the waters ebb and flow
The tides-a-new they come and go

A season with its change may pass
But you my Lord will ever last

To come to us: creatures of change
You inhaled deep the breath that wanes

And put before our eyes a death
Through mortal vision: lived fleeting breadth

The Son of Man lives righteous, long;
The Son of God in believing hearts forever on
